📋 Description

• Make n8n’s Core Platform scalable, reliable, secure, and flexible for the company’s next stage of growth • Own the Core Platform product strategy and roadmap with Engineering and Product leadership • Prioritize foundational investments based on customer impact, enterprise needs, technical risk, and engineering effort • Lead product discovery for technically complex problems with enterprise customers and internal customer-facing teams • Drive scalability and reliability work on the execution engine, including worker pools and distributed execution • Improve trigger reliability and execution behavior across Cloud and self-hosted enterprise deployments • Shape secure and flexible code execution approaches • Plan and release major or breaking platform versions, including migrations, stakeholder communication, and risk management • Establish success measures and hold the squad accountable for outcomes • Bridge the Core team with Product, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Support • Identify cross-cutting platform requirements in internal product roadmaps and turn them into Core Platform work

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in Product • At least 2 to 3 years working on platform, infrastructure, developer-facing, or backend/API products • Ability to reason about distributed systems, execution models, and reliability/scalability trade-offs • Ability to participate credibly in architecture discussions with senior engineers • Understanding of non-functional requirements • Track record leading cross-team technical initiatives with delivery risk, ideally including migrations or breaking changes • Ability to prioritize under ambiguity and connect foundational work to customer and commercial outcomes • Ownership, autonomy, and ability to drive outcomes independently • Exceptional communication for technical and non-technical audiences • Understanding of self-hosted, air-gapped, restricted, and customer-controlled deployments • Nice to have: ability to read code or prototype • Nice to have: B2B SaaS enterprise experience involving security, compliance, or deployment complexity • Nice to have: experience partnering with security teams on code execution, isolation, or compliance • Nice to have: familiarity with workflow automation, orchestration, open-source, or developer-community products • Nice to have: writing-first approach for clarity and alignment • For countries other than Germany, existing right to work is required • Company language is English
