📋 Description

• Implement A/B and multivariate tests in Kameleoon using JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5 and CSS3 • Develop and optimize sections, templates and snippets in the Shopify theme using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS) and JavaScript • Integrate successful test variants into the main codebase • Build Shopify Functions, Metafields and Metaobjects and implement integrations via the Admin API and webhooks • Ensure event and goal setup and data transfer to GA4 and BigQuery • QA tests across relevant browsers, devices and markets • Monitor performance and stability, with a focus on flicker, layout shifts (CLS) and load times • Document code clearly and traceably • Use AI tools for code generation, review, debugging and documentation • Work in agile processes with Git, pull requests and code reviews • Support deployments via CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions) • Collaborate with the CRO lead, web development team and external agencies • Assume technical ownership of the experimentation setup as your experience grows

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 2–4 years of frontend development experience in an e-commerce environment • Ideally experienced with Shopify / Shopify Plus • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS) and Liquid • Experience with A/B testing tools such as Kameleoon, VWO or Optimizely, or a strong willingness to learn quickly • Understanding of Shopify Functions, Metafields / Metaobjects, Admin API and webhooks • Experience with AI-assisted coding (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) • Basic understanding of web analytics and tracking, especially GA4 and the data layer • Knowledge of performance metrics and Core Web Vitals • Confident use of Git, code reviews and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) • Careful, detail-oriented working style with high quality standards • Strong communication skills, team spirit and a hands-on mentality • Willingness to develop toward technical ownership of the experimentation setup • Permanent residence in Germany required
