📋 Description

• Set up and operate integrations from source systems such as shop and marketplace data, marketing and ads platforms, as well as ERP, logistics and finance systems • Develop reliable data pipelines with early and traceable error detection • Responsible for the availability and freshness of company data • Model and further develop the data warehouse in Google BigQuery • Build and maintain transformation models including tests and documentation • Ensure clearly defined KPIs and reliable data • Responsible for the authorization model in Google Cloud • Monitor third‑party system interfaces and secure pipelines and credentials • Review third‑party apps for security risks in code and establish binding standards • Expand versioning, code reviews, automated tests and deployments • Automate previously manual processes • Work closely with an interdisciplinary Data & AI team and the business units E‑commerce, Marketing and Finance

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable role • Experience with production-ready data pipelines and data models • Practical experience with Google Cloud and Google BigQuery, including query cost awareness • Advanced SQL skills, including root-cause analysis for slow queries • Ability to write clean, maintainable Python code for pipelines • Experience with structured data modeling, versioning, automated tests and deployments • Security-minded approach to access rights, credentials, interface monitoring and security checks for third‑party apps • Familiarity with common e-commerce and marketing tools such as Shopify or Klaviyo • Pragmatic, hands-on generalist mentality that crosses role boundaries • Startup or scale-up experience • Ability to bridge business and technical teams • Affinity for using AI tools such as Claude for development, documentation and analysis • Fluent in German • Good command of English
