📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate Go and Python backend services for discovery, assurance, fleet management, and data ingestion • Define and evolve versioned gRPC and REST APIs using Protocol Buffers and OpenAPI • Build React and TypeScript monitoring and telemetry dashboards • Design dashboard experiences with filters, thresholds, alert states, and links to underlying NetBox devices • Collaborate on query and aggregation APIs for large fleets and high-frequency telemetry • Build type-safe frontend-backend integration using generated API clients and shared schemas • Participate in the team's on-call rotation • Add automated tests across unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end layers • Collaborate with product managers, designers, customer-facing teams, and engineering teams • Use AI-enabled development tools and agentic workflows across design, coding, testing, review, and incident triage • Review code, mentor teammates, and share engineering best practices • Participate in planning and help shape the roadmap

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Meaningful production experience on both backend and frontend • Production experience with Go and Python; strong in at least one and working proficiency in the other • Experience designing and operating gRPC services with Protocol Buffers, including schema evolution, backward compatibility, streaming RPCs, deadlines, interceptors/middleware, and error handling • Experience building distributed, event-driven systems, including message queues, asynchronous job processing, and idempotent data ingestion • Strong React and TypeScript skills • Proven experience building monitoring, observability, or analytics dashboards • Hands-on experience with data visualization libraries • Experience rendering large or high-frequency datasets performantly • Experience handling real-time browser data via WebSockets, server-sent events, or gRPC-Web streaming • Modern CSS, responsive layout, and practical accessibility including WCAG, color-blind-safe palettes, and accessible charts • Automated frontend testing with Jest and React Testing Library, including visual regression testing • Practical, regular use of AI coding assistants and agents • Good judgment when verifying AI output and protecting sensitive data • Familiarity with prompting and context techniques for AI tools • Good communication and collaborative working ability • Comfort working in a fast-moving environment and contributing to product and technical decisions
