📋 Description

• Build full-stack features using React, Node.js, and PostgreSQL • Build components using the shared design system • Develop endpoints and PostgreSQL queries • Write clean, tested code following existing codebase patterns • Track down and fix defects and escalate deeper issues • Use Claude Code, Cursor, and other AI coding tools in daily development • Build accessible, responsive experiences meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards • Participate in design reviews and code reviews • Raise sprint estimates and blockers early • Incorporate security into development and learn how SOC 2, PCI, and GDPR affect sensitive workflows • Learn the needs of clerks, courts, and citizens to improve product development • Deliver reliable shared software used across Neumo's local-government products

🎯 Requirements

• 0–2 years of professional software development experience; internships, apprenticeships, bootcamp work, open-source contributions, and portfolio work count • Working knowledge of JavaScript • HTML and CSS fundamentals • Exposure to a modern front-end framework; React preferred, or Angular or Vue.js • Exposure to Node.js or another back-end language • Understanding of RESTful APIs • Foundational SQL and relational data knowledge • PostgreSQL knowledge • Git proficiency, including branching, pull requests, and resolving merge conflicts • Methodical problem-solving and judgment to ask for help • Clear written and verbal communication • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Interest in civic technology or experience with local government is a bonus
