📋 Description

• Responsible for improving the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation • Facilitates modifications to clinical documentation through interaction with Physicians and other staff • Conducts admission/continued stay reviews using Compliant Documentation Program Management guidelines • Works collaboratively with coding staff to assign working DRG • Monitors documentation against quality indicators and addresses non-compliance documentation • Educates staff on clinical documentation opportunities and coding methodologies • Participates in efforts to contain costs and generate revenue

🎯 Requirements

• Current RN Licensure in the State of Georgia • Associate's Degree • Five (5) years in the practice of professional nursing • CCDS or CDIP certification preferred • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred • Familiar with DRG coding optimization strategies and clinical documentation requirements • Must demonstrate excellent observation skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities • Working knowledge of ICD10 coding conventions, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology • Ability to be self-directed • Leadership skills required • Familiar with coding software (preferably 3M 360 Encompass)
