📋 Description

• Lead and mentor a high-performing Application Security engineering team • Align team priorities with organizational goals and operational challenges • Drive Application and Pipeline Security strategy toward an autonomous, AI-driven DevSecOps model • Pioneer agentic security workflows for automated remediation • Establish architectural guardrails and validation standards for secure AI-assisted development • Partner with Platform Engineering to define cloud security baselines and Policy-as-Code guardrails • Oversee application penetration testing, triage findings, integrate them into pipeline guardrails, and ensure SLA-based remediation • Establish observability and regulatory standards across the development lifecycle • Implement supply chain safeguards, including SBOM, automated CI/CD security gates, and risk-approval protocols • Prioritize and resolve security vulnerabilities across application environments and cloud infrastructures • Refine SAST, DAST, SCA, and IaC scanning telemetry to minimize false positives • Design automated AWS response triggers for rapid isolation and runtime threat containment • Embed security into IDEs and CI/CD pipelines • Architect and report performance indicators such as MTTR and Auto-Fix Acceptance Rates • Define policies and ensure compliance across development teams • Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges • Provide subject matter guidance to employees, colleagues, and customers

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in specialized roles across Application Security or Cloud Engineering • At least 3 years in a management or leadership capacity • Proficiency in designing AWS security governance and deploying automated incident mitigation within large-scale cloud ecosystems • Mastery of CI/CD orchestration, containerization safeguards, and SAST/DAST/SCA integration • Advanced automation capabilities and ability to architect security tooling • Familiarity with AI-enhanced security technologies, including LLM-driven remediation tools and automated code-fixing platforms • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional background • Substantial professional history as a Staff or Principal Software Engineer, or DevOps Specialist, before moving into security management • Track record of partnerships with software engineering and platform teams • AWS Certified Security – Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect – Professional certifications • 5-8 years with overseeing background • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
