📋 Description

• Analyze architectural drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications to determine material, labor, and production requirements for custom stainless steel fabrications. • Perform detailed takeoffs for stainless steel components, including countertops, kitchen equipment, exhaust hoods, sinks, wall claddings, and shelving. • Prepare accurate and timely project estimates using estimating software and Excel, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing. • Communicate directly with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to clarify project details, specifications, and timelines. • Solicit and review quotes from vendors to determine material costs and optimize procurement. • Maintain accurate records of all estimates, takeoffs, and revisions for current and historical projects. • Collaborate with project managers and shop production teams to ensure a seamless handoff of information once projects are awarded. • Proactively research industry trends, material costs, and fabrication advancements to ensure cost-efficiency and maintain competitiveness.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience. • 2+ years of experience in estimating, preferably within the metal fabrication or construction industries. • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift) and Microsoft Excel. • Strong understanding of stainless steel materials, fabrication processes, and finishes used in the food service industry. • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams. • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational abilities, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
