📋 Description

• Participate in functional and product design reviews • Incorporate feedback into comprehensive test plans and test cases • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites for functionality, integration, load, and performance • Create and execute test strategies for new features and platform capabilities • Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, architects, release engineers, and program managers • Build and improve automation infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines • Develop and maintain automated API, UI, and system-level tests • Identify test coverage gaps and improve service reliability and scalability • Investigate defects and debug issues • Enhance quality engineering practices and tools • Validate distributed systems operating on Akamai’s global infrastructure

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering or SDET roles • Education in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related fields • Expertise in Java and/or Python • Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms • Extensive experience building test automation frameworks • Hands-on expertise with Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, or similar UI automation tools • Experience with cross-browser testing platforms such as BrowserStack • Experience testing RESTful APIs and web services using manual and automated methods • Understanding of test design methodologies, automation best practices, CI/CD integration, and SQL databases • Debugging and troubleshooting skills • Familiarity with Internet technologies and protocols, including HTTP/HTTPS, web services, proxies, and web servers
