📋 Description

• Contribute to the design and implementation of highly available, scalable, and performant solutions • Build, integrate, support, and improve data streaming services on the Akamai Platform, focusing on performance metrics collection and analysis • Design and develop DevOps tools to make the software delivery system run seamlessly • Develop processes and tools to monitor, analyze, maintain, and improve streaming data pipeline usability and observability • Develop and implement procedures for automating operational tasks and achieving zero human engagement • Enhance platform core services for a data streaming platform targeting 100% availability and three 9's performance and reliability • Collaborate with software and platform engineers in the Data Engineering team

🎯 Requirements

• Relevant experience and a Bachelor diploma in Computer Science or another related field or its equivalent • Experience with SQL and software development using at least 2 of Golang, Python, Java, C/C++, or JavaScript • 5+ years of experience with distributed systems, Linux networking, TCP/IP, SSH, SSL, and HTTP protocols • 3+ years of experience in DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Helm, Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet • 3+ years of experience with observability, performance analytics, and security tools such as Prometheus and DataDog • Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop and Spark and their design principles • Skills in bash scripting, SQL, and REST API design • Ability to troubleshoot complex production issues
