📋 Description

• Lead and grow the engineering team through 1:1s, goal setting, performance management, career development, and hiring • Own the roadmap and prioritization decisions • Decide committed and declined work and remain accountable for shipped outcomes • Design, write, and review code while owning a project directly • Own the support and API consultancy queue and its service levels • Help customers and partners implement integrations over the REST API • Drive work to completion across external dependencies and regulatory deadlines • Own the in-house framework used to build new integration services • Work directly with partners, Product, Support, and other engineering teams • Keep security and compliance obligations on track

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience managing, coaching, and empowering senior, fully distributed engineering teams • Hands-on software engineering experience with high standards for software architecture and code quality • Ability to design robust systems, conduct rigorous code reviews, and quickly learn new tools • Extensive experience designing, building, scaling, and securing REST APIs • Strong knowledge of OAuth scopes, webhook architectures, and API gateways • Strong practical use of AI-assisted development tools • Experience with capacity planning and stakeholder expectation management • Familiarity with modern deployment and monitoring ecosystems, including AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, GitLab CI, and Grafana/Sentry • Willingness to work hands-on across Python/Django, PHP/Laravel, Apache APISIX, and Lua • Ideally, experience in a fast-growing, global SaaS company
