• Advise managers and HR colleagues on labor law issues • Collaborate with the works council on co-determination matters, particularly in relation to projects, restructuring, and company agreements • Develop and implement strategies to foster positive labor relations • Support conflict resolution processes • Ensure compliance with labor law regulations and internal policies • Implement global HR projects in accordance with the German Works Constitution Act (BetrVG) • Negotiate and coordinate with works councils as part of international and local HR initiatives • Represent the company in labor law disputes, including coordination with legal counsel and external stakeholders • Draft and review labor law documents (e.g., employment contracts, warnings, terminations) • Conduct training sessions on labor law topics for managers and HR staff • Support labor law and employee relations matters in other European countries in coordination with local HR and legal teams.
• Degree in law, business law, human resources management, or a comparable field • Several years of professional experience in labor law / employee relations • Deep knowledge of German labor law and the Works Constitution Act (BetrVG) • Strong communication and negotiation skills • Structured, solution-oriented way of working • Business-fluent German and English (spoken and written)
• Regular on-site presence at Novanta locations in Berlin, Ludwigsstadt and Wackersdorf
