The NPRC is a cooperative of European private-sector inland waterway shipping companies. We focus on the professional transport of dry cargo via all European waterways. Every day, a minimum of 200 barges operating under the direction of NPRC are underway somewhere in Europe. In actual fact, NPRC is the biggest cooperative active in European inland-waterway shipping. Each year, our organisation transports 13 million metric tonnes of cargo using the continent’s extensive network of rivers and canals. From Antwerp to Marseille, and from Rotterdam to Budapest. From transport, transhipment and temporary storage, to cargo inspections and all the paperwork.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with instructor Subject Matter Experts (SME)s to identify, design, and develop course materials and assets while completing course development projects. • Aid in preparing proposed and existing courses for design review based on industry standards and the NPRC-approved rubric • Recommend innovative design, format, and/or technological changes to further engage learners. • Assist in the development and organization of online lesson materials using faculty content, other instructional content, software applications, and the LMS as directed. • Collaborate with SMEs on developing engaging content (e.g., video, audio, and/or interactive) • Adhere to project timelines for instructional design projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design or related field • Advanced knowledge in applying common instructional design principles and best practices • Experience designing course materials and operating learning management systems (LMS) • At least two years of relevant professional experience/instructional design experience • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 • Experience as an administrator of a LMS, such as Brightspace/Desire2Learn • Understanding of website design best practices • Proficiency in graphic design software (Adobe, Canva, etc.) • Excellent project management and organizational skills • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical colleagues • Experience teaching others and developing learning materials concerning the use of hardware and software applications • Knowledge of educational assessment and evaluation methods • Experience with conducting course reviews via an industry recognized rubric, and communicating results and recommendations • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work collaboratively • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Highly attentive to detail and accuracy • Excellent critical thinking skills
