📋 Description

• Lead the end-to-end solution design for cost management, including the architecture of cost centers and profit centers, product costing models (CO-PC), profitability analysis (CO-PA) and cost allocations. • Develop and maintain architecture blueprints for the company’s value stream, ensuring cost traceability and the accurate reporting of results. • Ensure proposed solutions are scalable, secure, high-performance and aligned with SAP best practices as well as accounting and managerial principles. • Serve as the primary technical authority for the CO module and its integration with Financial Accounting (FI), guiding developers, consultants and analysts. • Assess the impact of the transition to S/4HANA Finance and define the adoption strategy for Margin Analysis (Account-Based CO-PA), Material Ledger and other innovations. • Collaborate with Controlling and Finance to understand their strategic objectives (e.g., cost reduction, product margin analysis) and translate them into system and architecture requirements. • Define and enforce standards for the creation of controlling master data (cost centers, cost classes, internal orders) and for executing processes such as allocation cycles and result determination. • Review and approve functional and technical specifications, ensuring the integrity and consistency of management data. • Participate in the architecture committee to ensure Controlling solutions align with the corporate IT strategy. • Design and oversee native integration with Financial Accounting (FI) through the Universal Journal, ensuring a single source of truth. • Map and architect cost flows originating from all logistics and operational processes, including SD (billing), MM (material movements), PP (production orders), PM (maintenance orders) and PS (projects). • Act as a quality gate for projects impacting Controlling, reviewing and approving solutions prior to implementation. • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) of specifications, technical designs and configurations, ensuring deliverables are aligned with the reference architecture and SAP best practices. • Provide constructive feedback to project teams to correct deviations and ensure the excellence and sustainability of the delivered solution.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with SAP, with at least 5 years in technical leadership, senior consulting or architecture roles. • Deep functional knowledge in CO: • CO-PC (Product Costing): Expertise in planned and actual cost calculation, variance analysis, material costing (Material Ledger) and result determination (WIP). • CO-PA (Profitability Analysis): Mastery of both models, Costing-Based and Account-Based (Margin Analysis), including characteristic structures, value fields and derivations. • CO-OM (Overhead Management): Solid experience in Cost Center Accounting (CCA) and Internal Orders (IO), including planning, allocations and settlement. • PCA (Profit Center Accounting): Deep knowledge in structuring and reporting by profit center. • Experience with S/4HANA: Demonstrated participation in implementation or migration projects to SAP S/4HANA, with deep knowledge of the Universal Journal (ACDOCA), FI-CO convergence, adoption of Margin Analysis as a standard and the requirements and benefits of the Material Ledger. • Integration mindset: Proven ability to design solutions that demonstrate the integrated value flow between FI, CO and the logistics modules (SD, MM, PP). • Communication skills: Ability to convey complex technical and financial concepts to varied audiences (from directors to analysts) clearly and persuasively. • SAP S/4HANA Management Accounting certification. • Strong knowledge of the Financial Accounting (FI) module, including New G/L. • Experience with planning tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for Planning or BPC. • Knowledge of SAP Central Finance (CFIN). • Fluent English.
