📋 Description
• Facilitate learning activities that engage and retain students • Mark assessments and provide meaningful, constructive feedback • Support communication through discussion boards, emails, and live sessions • Maintain visibility and responsiveness to students every 24–48 hours • Collaborate with academic teams to maintain unit quality • Uphold OES values to foster a positive team culture and student experience • Support postgraduate students’ legal reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving development • OLAs are not responsible for curriculum design, assessment creation, or scheduling
🎯 Requirements
• Minimum Master’s degree in a relevant discipline • At least five years of industry experience applying legal principles in professional practice • Strong understanding of business law, governance frameworks, regulatory environments, and ethical decision-making • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical, real-world contexts • Ability to support postgraduate students in developing legal reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills • Experience teaching or facilitating learning in higher education or professional development contexts preferred • Empathetic understanding of online learners’ challenges • Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently • Comfortable navigating online learning platforms • Passionate about helping students succeed • Flexibility to work sessional part-time, 8 hours per week; hours may increase depending on assessment/marking cadences and student groups supported • Located in Australia • Experience teaching or studying in an online environment desirable • Previous teaching or mentoring experience desirable
