📋 Description

• Lead the technical architecture and system design for the large-scale Recommendation team, ensuring low latency, high availability, and resilience. • Serve as the technical reference within the team, promoting best practices and raising the bar for software engineering excellence. • Evolve critical microservices in Kotlin, applying best practices for code design, concurrency, and testing. • Facilitate technical discussions and align architectural solutions with product managers, data scientists, and engineers. • Monitor and optimize the performance of high-throughput distributed systems, identifying bottlenecks before they impact the buyer experience. • Contribute to buyers' browsing and search journey by delivering intelligent, contextual ad suggestions in real time.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Staff Engineer building and evolving large-scale microservices architectures and distributed systems. • Strong hands-on experience with Kotlin and/or modern Java. • Knowledge of Machine Learning, including training, inference, feature stores, and prediction latency. • Experience with AWS, including CI/CD best practices, observability, and a DevOps culture. • Strong communication and technical mentorship skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity and guide the team's deliveries. • Advantage: experience on Search, Recommendation, Personalization, or E‑commerce teams. • Role is also open to candidates with disabilities.
