📋 Description

• Own the full path from customer insight to a live, selling physical product • Analyze customer segments, purchase occasions, price and quality perception, trust signals, complaints, and returns • Use reviews, search behavior, social content, surveys, interviews, and tests to maintain customer understanding • Decide which new products to build, delay, or stop, supported by evidence • Define product and offer details, including materials, construction, specifications, packaging, size and color mix, and price position • Manage continuous improvement of live products, including root-cause analysis of negative feedback, quality standards, new sizes and colors, and relaunch or discontinuation decisions • Compare launch predictions with actual results • Set priorities for product analysts and the sourcing/production coordinator • Review team work and direct research and scoring tools • Report directly to the CEO

🎯 Requirements

• Developed and launched at least three physical consumer products sold to US consumers • At least one launched product sold mainly online through DTC, Amazon, or another marketplace • At least five years inside a consumer products company, brand, or retailer selling to US consumers • At least one product stopped, redesigned, or opposed based on customer learning • Practical customer research methods, including interviews, surveys, concept and price tests, review analysis, and social listening • Understanding of how American shoppers decide online, including images, reviews, ratings, price anchors, comparison, and social proof • Product development expertise in specifications, materials, samples, quality standards, and factory coordination, including overseas manufacturing • Commercial judgment covering price, cost, and margin together • Led at least three people and improved the quality of their work • Already uses AI in research or product work with human oversight • Clear written English • Background must not be limited to software or digital product management, marketing or brand work on products developed by others, sourcing or merchandising without customer and offer ownership, or product development only for markets outside the United States
