📋 Description

• Own end-to-end delivery of a production LLM agent from requirements through production deployment and defend architecture and trade-offs directly with the client • Build and harden agent orchestration using LangGraph, LangChain, or equivalent, including routing, tool-calling, planning, synthesis, and state management • Integrate tools over MCP and maintain a growing tool surface, including BM25, hybrid, or vector retrieval as scale demands • Run models on AWS Bedrock and Bedrock AgentCore, including model selection/routing, guardrails, memory, and regional residency profiles • Build an evaluation harness with golden sets, LLM-as-judge, and quality gates wired into CI • Instrument systems with OpenTelemetry for per-session token, cost, and latency attribution • Reduce cost and latency through model routing, prompt caching, payload pruning, and parallelizing independent calls behind a regression gate • Build circuit breakers, fallbacks, and dead-letter handling • Design and stage safe write-actions with least-privilege permissions, human-in-the-loop approval, plan versioning, audit trail, and rollback • Release changes behind feature flags to a small cohort first

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in software engineering, including at least 2 years at a genuinely senior level • Strong Python experience in production • Ability to pick up TypeScript or Go when required • Hands-on LLM application engineering experience with prompt design, tool/function calling, structured output, context management, and token budgeting • Experience building or operating agent orchestration with LangGraph, LangChain, or a hand-rolled framework beyond single-prompt calls • Production experience managing an LLM/agent platform: AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or Azure AI Foundry, including model invocation, streaming, guardrails, and agent tooling • Experience with evaluation harnesses, golden/reference sets, vector or hybrid search in production, and OpenTelemetry-based distributed tracing with token/cost/latency attribution • Production AWS experience with IAM, networking, storage, and observability • CI/CD pipelines versioned as code • Terraform in production • Working English; comfortable defending system design and technical decisions directly on client calls
