📋 Description

• Support and grow strategic relationships with investor‑owned utilities, electric cooperatives, hypescalers, power traders, and municipal utilities, positioning the company as a long‑term partner for grid‑scale solar and energy storage solutions. • Support battery storage commercial execution across a multi‑state territory, with accountability for market entry, deal flow, and customer development. • Drive revenue by originating and supporting RFP responses and bilateral transactions for solar‑plus‑storage, surplus storage, and standalone BESS projects—from initial engagement through commercial alignment and Capacity Agreement/Toll negotiations. • Identify, evaluate, and unlock new markets and products, delivering clear, investment‑ready recommendations to senior leadership on where to deploy capital and secure high‑value BESS opportunities. • Leverage deep expertise in energy storage systems and optimization to articulate capacity value, grid benefits, and commercial upside to utility and regulatory stakeholders. • Support commercial negotiations for PPAs and capacity structures, contributing to pricing strategy, risk allocation, and contract positioning. • Navigate interconnection and deliverability considerations to ensure projects are commercially viable and executable in target markets. • Manage external vendors and development budgets, maintaining commercial discipline and cost control through internal reporting systems.

🎯 Requirements

• BS and/or BA, MBA preferred • Experience and deep understanding of the U.S. energy storage and utility scale solar markets • Strong energy storage technical knowledge • Experience in customer presentations and negotiations • 3-5+ years of increasingly progressive development / origination experience • Experience with a solar energy developer or energy storage company • Preparation of market analyses and recommendations • Familiarity and comfort in landowner negotiations • Experience with reviewing and providing inputs for solar as well as energy storage financial models
