📋 Description

• Design and maintain internal tooling, packages, and abstractions that simplify self-service paths for engineers and reduce infrastructure complexity and operational toil • Build, operate, and continuously improve automated CI/CD pipelines from commit to production • Operate and improve Oyster’s AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, focusing on scalability, availability, security, and cost efficiency • Apply SRE principles, observability, and incident-management practices to reduce outages and accelerate recovery • Identify and implement AI, automation, and intelligent tooling to improve developer productivity and automate operational workflows • Turn internal engineering pain points into scalable platform solutions and continuously improve developer experience using feedback and metrics • Collaborate with application, security, and infrastructure teams to diagnose issues, support incident response, and promote reliable and secure software operations

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure Engineering, or a similar production engineering role • Strong software development experience building maintainable automation, tooling, and platform abstractions • Proven experience designing and operating production systems on AWS • Strong Infrastructure as Code experience, ideally Terraform or equivalent • Hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation • Experience with observability, monitoring, and production debugging using Datadog, Sentry, or equivalent technologies • Strong understanding of reliability, incident response, and operational best practices • Platform mindset focused on reducing internal engineering teams’ cognitive load • Strong communication and collaboration skills in remote, asynchronous engineering environments • Experience building or evolving internal developer platforms, golden paths, or self-service infrastructure • Experience using AI coding assistants, agents, or AI-powered developer tooling • Experience with Ruby on Rails • Experience with Harness, Drone, or other modern CI/CD platforms • Experience automating Heroku, Render, or similar application platforms through Terraform or scripted workflows • Experience improving macOS and Linux developer environments through automation and tooling • Experience working in remote-first, globally distributed teams • Reliable home internet connection, or ability to obtain one • Fluent English language skills • Must be authorized to work where you live
