📋 Description

• Guide and support junior developers by sharing best practices and fostering a culture of learning • Design scalable, secure, and elegant software solutions • Partner with product managers, designers, and QA to build features • Lead by example in code reviews and maintain high coding standards • Champion clean, maintainable code • Experiment with new tools and bring innovative ideas • Own work from concept through deployment • Embrace feedback and contribute to continuous improvement

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience • Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, and MySQL • Proficiency in Rails or similar MVC frameworks • Proficiency in Active Record or similar ORM • Proficiency in RSpec testing • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React or jQuery • Experience with REST API development and documentation • Experience with Grape and Swagger is ideal • Familiarity with Capybara, Selenium, or other end-to-end testing tools is a bonus • Comfortable with CI pipelines, including GitLab CI • Familiarity with static analysis tools such as RuboCop and Brakeman • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery, or similar cloud environments, is a strong plus • Passion for quality, scalable solutions, and object-oriented development • Must be currently based in Mexico and legally authorized to work in Mexico • Willing and able to work during EST business hours • Comfortable working on an Independent Contractor basis and managing own taxes and benefits • Willing to purchase own equipment upfront and be reimbursed later
