📋 Description

• Assist the General Manager with development and design of moulds for precast concrete products • Review product requirements and determine practical, cost-effective moulding solutions • Prepare or coordinate drawings and design information for mould manufacture • Source local and international mould manufacturers and fabricators • Obtain and compare quotations for mould manufacture • Liaise with mould suppliers regarding design changes, manufacturing requirements, lead times, and delivery • Improve existing mould designs to increase production efficiency, product quality, and ease of manufacture • Purchase and source reinforcing steel, reinforcing mesh, reinforcing bar, fabricated reinforcing cages, lifting anchors and systems, ferrules, cast-in plates, embedded items, concrete accessories, formwork and mould components, consumables, and other production materials • Obtain supplier quotations and compare pricing and specifications • Place and follow up purchase orders • Monitor lead times and deliveries • Identify alternative suppliers to improve cost or availability • Maintain supplier, pricing, and product records • Communicate directly with Australian suppliers by email and telephone • Support the General Manager across day-to-day design, procurement, and production requirements of the precast concrete business

🎯 Requirements

• Previous experience in precast concrete design or manufacturing, or strong experience in industrial design, mechanical design, steel fabrication, mould/tooling design, or manufacturing engineering • Strong written and verbal English skills • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with Australian suppliers, internal managers, and international fabricators via phone and email • Ability to work independently in an offshore setup and take ownership of day-to-day coordination • AutoCAD proficiency • Experience with 3D parametric modeling tools such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Fusion 360 • Experience with BIM/precast detailing tools such as Tekla Structures or Revit • Experience with ERP and inventory management tools such as NetSuite, SAP, Odoo, or MYOB Advanced • Experience with procurement and supplier management tools such as Procore or Excel/Google Sheets cost comparison models • Experience with digital takeoff tools such as Bluebeam Revu or Planswift • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and Pivot Tables • Hands-on technical design, sourcing, procurement, supplier liaison, and production coordination experience
