📋 Description

• Develop, improve, and support solutions in the streaming integration domain • Develop Kafka-based applications for clients • Perform intermediate- to low-level design and development within established architecture patterns • Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment • Perform detailed design of solution components in event-driven architecture solutions • Work with architects to understand context, patterns, technology choices, and integrations • Design and develop event schemas and document designs based on business and technical requirements • Work with clients to understand detailed requirements and identify gaps • Provide solution feedback to the architecture team • Design Kafka topics and configurations • Develop Java microservices and applications • Develop Apache Flink streaming applications • Configure and deploy connectors integrating with external systems • Support deployment and testing using Kubernetes, CI/CD, and deployment/configuration platforms • Analyze and address bugs • Design and implement infrastructure considering reliability, availability, durability, and performance • Translate business requirements into technical designs and development plans • Perform unit and integration testing and validate results with stakeholders • Troubleshoot data issues, defects, and performance bottlenecks • Provide ongoing production support and enhancements

🎯 Requirements

• At least three (3) years of Information Technology-related work experience in an integration-focused Java development role • Strong experience with source code management, such as Git • Experience with Java build concepts and tooling, such as Gradle and Maven • Strong capabilities in Spring Boot • Strong experience with Kafka and the Confluent Platform • Experience with Java-Kafka integrations using Kafka-Client and/or Kafka-Streams • Experience with Kafka Connect and Flink • Experience with Avro • Understanding of event-driven architecture (EDA) concepts • Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
