📋 Description

• Build and maintain Phorest’s partnership platform through integrations and API capabilities • Shape a high-scale, distributed system using event-driven architecture and modern cloud technologies such as Docker and Serverless • Build fast, ambitious backend web applications • Collaborate with the product team to develop features with significant business impact • Identify bottlenecks and improve the frontend developer experience • Work with the design team to build elegant and intuitive UI components • Apply engineering knowledge and business context to develop creative solutions • Maintain high coding standards, attention to detail, and a methodological work process • Promote maintainable, reusable, clean code and unit testing • Develop automated unit and acceptance tests • Coach teammates through code reviews and whiteboarding sessions • Participate in team-level solution design and implementation • Continuously learn, evaluate technologies, and improve solutions

🎯 Requirements

• Strong proficiency and at least 5 years of professional experience with object-oriented software design, primarily Java • Knowledge and understanding of JavaScript, including its fundamentals and latest developments • Experience building and working with RESTful APIs • GraphQL knowledge is a bonus • Ability to reason about trade-offs when discussing backend technologies • Ability to inspire and motivate while improving quality and productivity • Commitment to technical innovation and excellence • Focus on high coding standards, excellent attention to detail, and a methodological work process
