They provide data strategy, PIM/MDM implementation and governance, commerce platform replatforming and managed operations, integration services (engineer-led, AI-assisted pipelines), and outsourced product catalog management. Pivotree combines engineering-led services with AI tooling to run and monitor commerce stacks post-launch, primarily for B2B and enterprise customers in industries such as automotive, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, retail, and CPG.

📋 Description

• Own the end-to-end technical architecture for Fluent Commerce OMS implementations • Design scalable, API-driven, event-based, and distributed OMS architectures • Define solution architecture, technical blueprints, and integration patterns aligned with retail and eCommerce best practices • Translate complex business and functional requirements into robust technical architecture and detailed solution designs • Define architecture principles, technology standards, design patterns, and technical best practices • Review and validate solution designs, configurations, custom extensions, APIs, and integration approaches • Ensure solutions meet standards for performance, security, scalability, availability, and reliability • Identify technical risks, architectural gaps, and dependencies and define mitigation strategies • Provide technical leadership across order capture, fulfillment, allocation, orchestration, cancellations, returns, exchanges, refunds, and inventory management • Design Distributed Order Management solutions for complex omnichannel business models • Define inventory orchestration and fulfillment strategies across multiple locations and channels • Architect Fluent Commerce extensions and configurations • Define and oversee integrations between Fluent Commerce OMS and payment gateways, ERP platforms, WMS, eCommerce platforms, CRM, and loyalty platforms • Design and govern integrations using REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, asynchronous communication, and event-driven architectures • Define reliable data flows and integration patterns • Review API contracts, integration specifications, data mappings, error handling, and retry mechanisms • Establish technical governance across OMS implementations • Conduct architecture reviews and design walkthroughs • Review technical deliverables and guide development and integration teams • Define non-functional requirements and ensure they are incorporated into solution designs • Drive best practices for coding standards, integration design, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production readiness • Improve system performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability • Lead technical and solution architecture workshops with client stakeholders • Collaborate with business, functional, technical, and integration teams • Present architecture decisions, technical approaches, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Act as the primary technical point of contact for architecture-related discussions • Provide technical guidance during implementation, production support, incident triage, and root cause analysis • Support pre-sales activities including solutioning, technical estimations, architecture proposals, and RFP responses

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of overall IT experience with enterprise systems and large-scale digital platforms • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Fluent Commerce OMS • Strong expertise in Order Management Systems and Distributed Order Management (DOM) • Strong understanding of order lifecycle management, including order orchestration, fulfillment, returns and exchanges, cancellations and refunds, and inventory orchestration • Strong experience designing REST APIs, JSON-based integrations, webhooks, and asynchronous/event-driven architectures • Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and distributed systems • Experience designing scalable, resilient, and high-availability solutions • Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills • Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum delivery models • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Experience working in omnichannel retail and large-scale eCommerce environments • Experience with cloud-native and microservices-based architectures • Experience integrating Fluent Commerce with SAP, Oracle, WMS, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, Magento, CRM, and payment platforms • Prior experience in client-facing consulting or solution architecture roles • Experience designing and supporting high-availability production systems • Experience participating in pre-sales, RFPs, solution proposals, and technical estimations • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and integration best practices
