📋 Description

• Manage projects and initiatives with moderate complexity. • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications. • Create design specifications, test plans and automated test scripts for scoped work. • Develop scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions. • Analyze, maintain, and implement existing software applications; develop specifications from business requirements. • Communicate feature purpose to team members and stakeholders. • Write and debug software systems following development standards and lifecycle processes. • Debug and troubleshoot complex software issues and provide timely solutions. • Implement new features, enhancements, tools, and promote best practices. • Ensure adherence to software development best practices and processes; write clean, documented code. • Lead code reviews, provide constructive feedback, pair program, and mentor peers. • Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making; support departmental strategies. • AI-specific: Architect and scale GenAI systems for conversational data exploration addressing biomarker data challenges. • Design and implement AI-first architectures including GenAI pipelines, embeddings, vector search, and semantic search. • Make strategic architectural decisions balancing performance, cost, scalability, and maintainability for AI systems. • Continuously improve AI-powered features optimizing accuracy, latency, and user experience. • Shape AI roadmap aligning technical innovation with product goals and user needs.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in cloud/infrastructure, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, or technology solutions. • 4-6 years of experience in a customer-facing role and leading projects. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to influence through clear documentation and concise report writing. • Basic knowledge of project management processes and tools (e.g., project scheduling, budgeting, status reporting). • Ability to write complex reports clearly and concisely. • Proven leadership and project management skills; ability to lead complex technical and functional projects. • Provide expertise and guidance to team members; mentor engineers and conduct reviews. • 8+ years of engineering experience including 8+ years deploying AI/ML/GenAI products in production environments. • Proven ability to drive innovation in AI-powered conversational experiences, semantic search, and insight generation. • Deep technical expertise in Python and cloud platforms (AWS preferred). • Experience with vector databases, semantic search systems, and RAG architectures. • Knowledge of LLMs, embedding models, personalization, and quality control. • Proficient with AI development tools such as AWS Bedrock, LangChain, and LlamaIndex. • Strong foundation in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). • Experience in AI-first engineering environments using tools like GitHub Copilot, Augment, and Cursor. • Preferred: Experience with Django/FastAPI/Flask, frontend (TypeScript/React), and domain expertise in biomarker data and life sciences.
