📋 Description

• Deliver backend features end to end, from defined specification through production • Build and ship backend services handling real payment volume • Participate in architecture and design discussions • Monitor production behavior, identify issues, and help resolve them • Write high-quality, production-ready code with thoughtful error handling • Follow Primer's engineering standards • Collaborate on scoping sessions, code reviews, and technical decisions • Report to the Engineering Manager for Orchestration • Contribute to the orchestration layer for intelligent, seamless, and reliable global payments

🎯 Requirements

• Backend engineering experience and a track record of shipping working software • Ability to take a well-defined piece of work and deliver it through to production • Working understanding of how backend systems behave • Comfort with REST APIs and patterns that make services reliable and easy to reason about • Interest in monitoring, rollout, and production system health • Willingness to ask questions, take feedback, and learn quickly • Experience in payments, fintech, or infrastructure context is a plus • Must be based in one of: Hungary, Poland, South Africa, Portugal, or Romania
