📋 Description

• Own end-to-end business controlling for the R&D organization • Act as the primary finance contact and strategic advisor for Software Engineering and Product Management leadership • Design and implement operational KPIs with engineering and product stakeholders, covering development velocity, resource utilization, and product profitability • Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts for R&D • Allocate resources across products, features, and technical debt initiatives • Challenge R&D investments through cost-benefit analyses of new product development, feature enhancements, and technology infrastructure • Develop financial models for capitalization of software development costs in line with accounting standards • Ensure accurate project cost tracking • Drive monthly performance reviews with engineering and product leaders • Deliver variance analyses and actionable recommendations • Champion continuous improvement in R&D financial planning

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on controlling experience with exposure to R&D • SaaS experience is a plus • Deep understanding of R&D financial management, including software capitalization rules, project accounting, and technology cost structures • Proven track record as a finance business partner in technical environments • Effective communication with engineering and product teams • Financial modeling and data analysis skills • Strong command of Excel and BI tools such as Power BI or Qlik • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, or a related field • Certifications such as CMA, CPA, or CIMA are a plus • Strong English language skills • Willingness to travel regularly to collaborate across locations
