Quest One is a global hydrogen technology company (formerly H-TEC SYSTEMS) that develops and manufactures PEM electrolyzers and electrolysis stacks for the production of green hydrogen. The company designs modular and large-scale systems (e. g. , ME450, Modular Hydrogen Platform) and operates automated production facilities (Gigahub) to supply industrial, mobility and energy customers. Quest One partners with engineering and energy firms to deploy electrolyzers for power-to-hydrogen, mobility refuelling, and grid/sector-integration projects with a stated mission to cut emissions through scalable green hydrogen solutions.

📋 Description

• You are responsible for connecting our production plants and test rigs to our IoT infrastructure. • You continuously develop and improve our connectivity concept for machine networking. • You support fault diagnosis and troubleshooting, and address performance bottlenecks in machine data communication and the OT network. • You support security audits, identify potential vulnerabilities, and implement measures to ensure OT security. • You work closely with IT, production, and external service providers, acting as an interface between engineering and IT. • You support Production Engineering in specifying new production systems and accompany the acceptance and commissioning process.

🎯 Requirements

• You have a completed technical education in electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics, IT systems electronics, or a comparable qualification — further training as a technician or master craftsman is a plus. • You have professional experience in an industrial environment — ideally in machine connectivity, automation, or network communication. • You have strong knowledge of common OT communication protocols and fieldbus systems (e.g., OPC UA, Profinet, MQTT, Modbus). • You are familiar with relevant standards and regulations in OT security, such as ISO 27001, IEC 62443, or NIS2. • You have experience connecting PLC controllers, for example with PCS7, S7, or Allen‑Bradley. • You work proactively, communicate clearly, and are a true team player — also in interdisciplinary and international teams. • You bring strong analytical thinking and high problem‑solving skills. • You have good German language skills and basic knowledge of English.
