📋 Description

• Proofread documents, reports, articles, marketing materials, emails, presentations, and other written content before publication • Identify and correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and formatting errors • Ensure consistency in tone, style, terminology, and formatting across documents • Verify names, dates, numbers, references, and hyperlinks when required • Review content for readability, clarity, and adherence to editorial guidelines • Collaborate with writers, editors, designers, and project managers to resolve content issues • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and client information • Manage multiple assignments while meeting established deadlines • Follow company style guides and quality assurance standards • Provide constructive feedback to improve content quality

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred • Proven experience as a proofreader, copy editor, editor, or in a similar role • Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Strong time management and multitasking abilities • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated remote workspace • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace • Experience proofreading digital content, websites, blogs, or marketing materials preferred • Familiarity with AP, Chicago, or MLA style guides preferred • Experience using Grammarly or PerfectIt preferred • Knowledge of content management systems is a plus • Availability during standard business hours preferred • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required
