📋 Description

• Samsara Technologies India Private Limited is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to be part of our Platform & Infrastructure organization. • This org is responsible for building the foundational systems that drive Samsara's products. • Our work includes areas such as data insights, reporting, enterprise management, integration capabilities, and foundational infrastructure such as container orchestration, data storage, real-time data ingestion, and GraphQL execution. • You want to impact the industries that run our world: The software, firmware, and hardware you build will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely. • You want to build for scale: With over 2.3 million IoT devices deployed to our global customers, you will work on a range of new and mature technologies driving scalable innovation for customers across industries driving the world's physical operations. • You are a life-long learner: We have ambitious goals. • Every Samsarian has a growth mindset as we work with a wide range of technologies, challenges, and customers that push us to learn on the go. • You believe customers are more than a number: Samsara Technologies India Private Limited engineers enjoy a rare closeness to the end user and you will have the opportunity to participate in customer interviews, collaborate with customer success and product managers, and use metrics to ensure our work is translating into better customer outcomes. • You are a team player: Working on our Samsara Technologies India Private Limited Engineering teams requires a mix of independent effort and collaboration. • In this role, you will work with product managers, staff engineers, and internal/external customers to architect, build, test, and deliver full stack features across front-end, back-end, and mobile. • Continuously evaluate and improve the performance, reliability, and user experience of our applications. • Propose technical solutions and spearhead technical solutioning on some of the team’s initiatives. • Help mentor, develop, and support other engineers on the team. • Maintain a regular feedback loop to allow for implementation iterations and making adjustments. • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent practical experience • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in software development • Strong programming/coding fundamentals with proficiency in at least one of the following: Go, GraphQL, TypeScript, React, Kotlin or similar frameworks. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage technical discussions and mentor junior engineers. • Expertise working with web services at massive scale deployed on hyperscalers such as AWS, GCP or Azure. • Is an expert in writing high-quality, performant, and maintainable code in a modern programming language. • Expertise working on large-scale enterprise software applications
