📋 Description

• Act as the primary legal advisor to APAC sales teams on Terms of Service negotiation, contract redlining, and commercial agreement reviews • Lead live negotiations with customers and their counsel on strategic and enterprise deals, including customer-paper and high-value ARR matters • Serve as the Legal Primary DRI for APAC under Remote's Legal Matter Framework • Provide additional legal support to other regions as bandwidth permits • Partner with Sales, Finance, and cross-functional teams on commercial agreements • Develop and improve templates, playbooks, processes, knowledge resources, automated triage, and self-service tooling • Provide legal training and guidance to internal stakeholders, particularly APAC sales teams • Partner with the Data Protection and AI Governance team on privacy and AI terms • Coordinate with local counsel on jurisdiction-specific advice • Bring a solutions-focused mindset to negotiations and minimize unnecessary escalation • Report to the Director, Legal - Commercial • Work as an individual contributor with no managerial responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Proven expertise supporting commercial transactions, particularly enterprise-level SaaS agreements, Terms of Service negotiations, and sales contract reviews • Experience supporting sales teams across APAC is highly valued • Qualified to practise in an APAC jurisdiction • English is the working language for negotiations and internal collaboration • Additional APAC languages are a strong advantage, but not a requirement • Comfort operating across multiple APAC jurisdictions and legal traditions • Strong commercial drafting skills • Strong negotiation skills • Experience with enterprise deals conducted on the customer's paper, including customer MSAs, bespoke terms, and formal RFx processes • Sharp commercial instincts and strategic thinking • Prior HR-tech industry experience or familiarity with bespoke HR services agreements is beneficial, though not required • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment while maintaining responsiveness and adaptability under pressure • Ability to work independently while collaborating with sales and cross-functional teams • Ability to build trusted relationships with sales stakeholders while maintaining independent legal judgment • Comfort working alongside automated triage and legal tooling • Interest in improving automated triage and legal tooling • Healthy dose of humor and humility • CV/application submitted in English
