📋 Description

• Global responsibility and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the procurement of technically complex components • Ongoing analysis of global sourcing markets to derive opportunities and risks for the procurement strategy • Identification, qualification and development of suppliers and building a strong portfolio of preferred suppliers • Development and implementation of a global commodity group strategy in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to realize cost reductions and ensure supply security • Identification of process optimization potentials and implementation of measures to achieve savings across short, medium and long-term horizons • Execution of global tenders, preparation of benchmark analyses, as well as costing and negotiation of contracts at an international level • Definition of targets and budget for the commodity group and ensuring target achievement • Close cooperation with supplier quality to continuously improve delivery performance and product quality • Development and implementation of a robust risk management approach for the commodity group

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in engineering or business administration, e.g. Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering • Several years of purchasing experience in commodity groups such as forged parts within a mechanical engineering environment • Strong technical understanding as well as excellent analytical and conceptual skills • Experience in functional leadership of international teams and in driving change processes • Solution-oriented handling of conflicts and consistent pursuit of objectives • Effective teamwork under high workload and in stressful situations • Openness to intercultural collaboration and global activities • Willingness to undertake regular international travel • Fluent English; additional foreign language skills are an advantage
