📋 Description

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable data pipelines and products on the Enterprise Data Platform • Define and champion engineering standards, best practices, and modern data engineering methodologies • Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions • Ensure data platforms and pipelines are reliable, secure, performant, and cost-effective • Provide hands-on technical leadership through solution design, coding, and peer reviews • Act as the senior escalation point for complex data engineering and platform challenges • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Engineers • Drive automation, AI-enabled engineering practices, and operational efficiencies across the data ecosystem • Support the transition of innovative data use cases into scalable, production-ready solutions • Contribute to major data platform transformation and migration initiatives across the organisation

🎯 Requirements

• Experience in a Senior or Lead Data Engineering role, delivering scalable data solutions in production environments • Strong expertise in Snowflake or a similar cloud data platform • Hands-on experience with modern data engineering tools such as dbt, Dagster, Airbyte, or equivalent • Solid understanding of ELT/ETL, data modelling, SQL, and pipeline orchestration • Experience implementing data quality, testing, monitoring, and performance optimisation practices • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and support Data Engineers while providing hands-on technical leadership • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills • A collaborative, delivery-focused mindset with a passion for high-quality data solutions • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, AI-enabled engineering, or global enterprise-scale data environments would be advantageous
