📋 Description

• Define and evolve the architecture of RS’s Snowflake-based Enterprise Data Platform • Set standards, design patterns, and governance practices • Lead the technical strategy for the modern data stack • Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, cost-efficient, and delivers high-quality analytics data • Provide hands-on technical leadership in data modelling, pipeline design, orchestration, and platform optimisation • Partner with engineering, analytics, and architecture teams on end-to-end data solutions • Act as the technical authority for data architecture and guide solution design • Lead and develop a team of Data Architects • Translate complex stakeholder requirements into data platform capabilities • Drive architecture for major transformation initiatives, migrations, and platform evolution • Champion AI-powered capabilities and emerging technologies

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior or lead Data Architecture role • Strong track record designing and delivering scalable data platform solutions • Deep expertise in cloud data platforms, ideally Snowflake • Experience with dbt, Dagster (or similar), and Airbyte (or equivalent) • Strong knowledge of data modelling, ELT/ETL architectures, data pipelines, and distributed data systems • Experience optimising cloud data platform performance, scalability, and cost efficiency • Experience leading, mentoring, or developing technical teams • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical leadership • Experience delivering global data and analytics solutions • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA transformations advantageous • Fluent English and excellent communication skills
