📋 Description

• Oversee accounting for billing, general ledger, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, tax and special analyses • Maintain general ledger reconciliations with adequate documentation for all balance sheet accounts • Handle financial reporting, analysis and commentary for the assigned portfolio • Support consolidation and monthly group reporting • Run annual financial statements and audits • Prepare and file VAT, sales tax and GST returns • Support the Leadership Team on tax matters and international billing • Monitor and prepare intercompany transactions • Work with external accountants, tax advisors, auditors and other service providers • Manage account reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties • Supervise and optimize accounting principles, practices, procedures and initiatives • Report to the Director of Accounting and Tax and interact with the CFO, Group Controlling Lead and portfolio-brand managing directors

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or similar qualification and at least 5 years experience as an accountant • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with NetSuite • Prior work experience at a SaaS or Software company • Experience with Billing or Revenue Recognition tools (Stripe, Chargebee) • Experience with all-round accounting (AR, AP, Payroll, GL, tax, audit) • Good knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS • Experience in supporting annual audits • Independent, structured, solution-oriented and analytical way of working • Great time management skills and strong ability to stay organized and deliver closer to financial deadlines • Professional fluency in German and English
