📋 Description

• Monitor security alerts, triage events, and perform initial investigation of potential incidents. • Conduct initial forensic analysis of incidents: preserve evidence, build timelines, and identify the initial access vector. • Manage the full post-incident lifecycle: root cause analysis, lessons learned, and follow-up on corrective actions. • Track security operational metrics: MTTD, MTTR, alert volume, and false-positive rate. • Develop and document the incident response plan. • Create and maintain playbooks and runbooks for key incident scenarios. • Configure and operate centralized logging. • Support audits and organize evidence to ensure and improve security maturity. • Contribute to the phishing simulation program and other security culture initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience with AWS security services: CloudTrail, GuardDuty, CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, and AWS Config. • Practical knowledge of incident response frameworks — NIST IR, SANS PICERL or equivalent — with real-world application, not just theory. • Ability to perform initial forensic analysis: evidence collection and preservation, log analysis, timeline reconstruction. • Experience creating operational playbooks and runbooks — documentation that works under pressure, not only in controlled environments. • Familiarity with common MITRE ATT&CK TTPs and the ability to identify indicators of compromise in logs and alerts. • Ability to communicate incident status to technical and executive audiences clearly and accurately. • Readiness: speed and efficiency under pressure. • Critical thinking and investigative mindset. • Proactivity: anticipating threats. • Clear communication in crisis situations. • Operational discipline and attention to detail. • Cross-functional collaboration. • Results-oriented: closing cycles and maintaining documentation.
