📋 Description

• Writing high-quality code following solid engineering principles and best practices • Reviewing the code of engineers at various seniority levels • Actively contributing to improving the quality and health of codebase, processes, and teams • Collaborating closely with product and customer experience teams to gain understanding of features being built or bugs being fixed • Designing, creating, and maintaining a cloud-based infrastructure consisting of a variety of self-hosted and managed services • Helping various engineering teams to deliver their services/products by bridging the gap between development and production • Improving the entire Engineering team experience by improving tooling, automation, boosting performance, and metrics visibility • Continuously improving high-availability setup to avoid single points of failure • Perfecting monitoring to respond first during any issues • Testing high availability in a controlled environment and preparing for real incidents

🎯 Requirements

• Commitment to building and maintaining emotionally safe environments where teams can do their best work • Extensive experience with deploying and monitoring large-scale Web applications (mainly using Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL, with occasional use of Golang, Redis, Elasticsearch, NodeJS, and others) • Comfortable with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) • Experience running services on Kubernetes clusters • Previous experience with building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines • Background or knowledge in Software Engineering • Based in Berlin or Germany in general
