🎯 Requirements

• Open to excellent stories from freelance journalists. • Ability to pitch timely topics that resonate with a national audience. • Ability to make local issues compelling to a national audience and offer solutions. • Standard features: interview at least three sources; produce original reporting; typically 800-1,000 words. • Deep dives: interview more than three sources; conduct analysis and data work; may require public records requests; typically 1,200-1,500 words. • Longform enterprise: interview at least five sources; perform intense analysis and use multiple data points; investigative reporting skills; may exceed 2,000 words. • Submit pitches via the pitch form provided.
