📋 Description

• Interface with clients and execute radiological engineering project work • Work with multi-discipline engineering teams designing upgrades and modifications to new and existing nuclear power plants • Perform radiological dose calculations • Perform radiation source term calculations • Design radiation monitoring systems • Travel to client offices and plant site locations for project meetings and site walk-downs (domestic and international travel to Europe, Asia, Middle East possible) • Address emergent issues and provide technical support to clients

🎯 Requirements

• BS or MS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program • A minimum of 7 years of experience with radiation monitoring systems • Knowledge of types of radiation detectors, their operation, signal processing, and mechanical/electrical interfaces with plant systems • Experience with calibration and detection capability of radiation monitoring systems including primary, secondary/transfer, energy calibrations, energy response characteristics, and reference isotopes • Working knowledge of NRC regulations and guidance applicable to licensing and license renewal of nuclear power plants • Experience with relevant computer programs (specific programs listed in original posting) • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • PE license desired but not required • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to client offices and plant sites • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; employer will not sponsor work authorization
