📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines • Automate software releases and remove manual dependencies • Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools • Monitor system performance and implement alerting mechanisms • Ensure high availability of internal and customer-facing systems • Coordinate system builds, deployments, installations, and configurations across environments • Integrate security best practices into deployment pipelines • Manage access controls, secrets, and automated vulnerability scanning • Streamline developer workflows • Document deployment processes and cross-train team members • Respond to technical incidents and infrastructure issues • Perform root-cause analysis and execute corrective actions • Report directly to the Development Manager and collaborate with Development Team Leaders, Infrastructure, and Development teams

🎯 Requirements

• Strong English language skills, both written and verbal • Willingness to work Melbourne (Australia) hours • Flexibility to work outside standard hours for planned deployments when needed • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience • 5+ years' experience in a similar DevOps or Systems Engineering role • Experience working in remote-based teams • Extensive experience designing and implementing automated CI/CD pipelines • Strong understanding of Docker, Linux environments, and cloud infrastructure scaling • Experience with Linux server administration and shell scripting • Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar cloud platforms • Database management and deployment automation using MySQL, MariaDB, or Redis • Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation • Experience automating deployments for PHP/Laravel/WordPress and JavaScript frameworks such as React/Vue.js • Experience with Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket • Experience with AI tooling and automation • Experience with observability/APM tools such as Prometheus and Grafana • Ability to communicate with stakeholders • Ability to problem solve and work independently and as part of the development team
