📋 Description
• Ensuring timely collection of outstanding healthcare insurance receivables • Verifying or obtaining patient eligibility and/or authorization for healthcare services • Conducting research and appropriately statuses unpaid or denied claims • Monitoring claims for missing information and securing medical documentation as required • Writing appeal letters and verifying accuracy of underpayments
🎯 Requirements
• High school diploma or GED • At least two years of experience in healthcare insurance accounts receivable follow up • Experience identifying billing errors and resubmitting claims • Knowledge of accounts receivable practices and third-party payer billing procedures • At least two years of experience with accounts receivable software • Demonstrated ability to navigate Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office, including Excel
