Scalr is an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tool designed to help developers collaborate, scale, and deploy secure IaC code efficiently. Scalr emphasizes security and management with features like safe provider authentication, environment structuring without hardcoded credentials, and role-based access control. It integrates with tools such as Slack, Datadog, and OKTA, offering comprehensive visibility and reporting to scale operations effectively.

📋 Description

• Own the Scalr platform's reliability, scalability, and observability • Proactively identify and eliminate risks before they become incidents impacting customers • Design new architecture components • Promote and enforce SRE and DevOps best practices • Drive strategic technical improvements • Provide customer support and troubleshoot customer issues • Create and maintain the SRE roadmap and backlog • Own the end-to-end observability strategy, including monitoring, alerting, and dashboards • Architect and evolve scalable, efficient, and resilient platform infrastructure • Eliminate single points of failure and manage disaster recovery and failover strategy • Define and own customer-centric SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets • Manage the infrastructure technology stack and evaluate and integrate CI/CD and monitoring tools • Cooperate with other Tech Leads and coordinate interaction with other departments • Lead resolution of technical challenges and participate hands-on in system maintenance • Foster ownership, autonomy, and continuous growth within the team • Teach and mentor employees through mentoring, Q&A sessions, and knowledge reviews

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with Python scripting • Experience with Terraform/OpenTofu • Strong knowledge of Linux, including RHEL/Debian and bash scripting • Experience with Docker • Experience with Kubernetes • Experience with Google Cloud Platform • Experience leading SRE teams or initiatives • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or New Relic • Experience with CI platforms such as GitHub Actions, Drone, or CircleCI • Strong written and verbal communication skills • GitOps, Argo CD, Flux CD, or similar experience would be a plus • Chef, Omnibus, and Ruby experience would be a plus • JavaScript for GitHub Actions would be a plus
