<SCCON> is a Brazilian geospatial analytics company that delivers daily satellite-imagery monitoring, automated change-detection alerts, and quantified analytics for environmental and land-use changes across all Brazilian biomes. 📋 Description

• Work on complex geospatial projects • Use various satellite imagery and advanced software for geospatial data analysis and modeling • Perform image processing, land-use change detection, predictive analysis, and environmental monitoring • Serve as the team’s technical subject-matter expert • Support project coordination in defining methodologies and ensuring the quality of deliverables • Develop Python/R scripts to automate processes • Propose new geospatial technologies and integrate GIS systems with cloud platforms • Support the technical development of junior and mid-level analysts • Conduct internal and client training sessions • Perform quality control of geographic data • Prepare technical opinions, reports, and strategic presentations • Translate complex data into clear insights for management and stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Cartographic Engineering, Forestry, Environmental Engineering, Geospatial Science, or a related field (graduate studies or a master’s degree is a plus) • Solid experience in geospatial projects and remote sensing • Advanced proficiency in GIS tools (QGIS and/or comparable platforms), cartography, and image classification • Advanced knowledge of Brazilian biomes and their socio-environmental dynamics • Intermediate English proficiency • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools • Analytical mindset, technical autonomy, and a strong focus on solving complex problems • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting data and insights to management • Consultative and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively in a team • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage competing demands • Experience with Google Earth Engine (GEE), SQL, PostGIS, Python/R, and Machine Learning is desirable
