📋 Description

• Close collaboration with software architects • Design and implementation of technically sophisticated, distributed Java solutions • Further development of search solutions in collaboration with the team • Deliberate use of AI-assisted development tools and critical evaluation of their results • Further development of existing microservices and self-contained systems • Contribution to an autonomous agile squad team • Supporting colleagues and fostering their professional development • Continuous integration/deployment and operation of your own services • Taking responsibility for project-related activities • Regular communication with the team via Discord and MS Teams while working remotely

🎯 Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience developing Java-based web applications • Very good German language skills • Structured and self-directed working style • Ability to provide clear, well-reasoned justifications for technical decisions • Extensive practical experience with Spring Boot and established Java frameworks • Proficiency in SQL, from data modeling to writing high-performance queries • Experience creating solution designs and implementing them in agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban • Solid knowledge of HTTP communication, such as REST • Experience with model-driven API contract generation using OpenAPI is a plus • Willingness to participate in the team’s second-level on-call rotation, approximately one week per month • Previous experience in e-commerce is a plus • Experience with Apache Solr and/or search engineering is a plus • Experience with AI-assisted software development and, where applicable, spec-driven development is a plus • Knowledge of microservices, self-contained systems, and asynchronous communication via Kafka is a plus • Experience with Git and a professional code review culture is a plus • Knowledge of testing strategies and concepts, including integration and end-to-end testing, is a plus • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker is a plus
