📋 Description

• Overall responsibility for the Media Forward Fund’s DACH-wide upskilling program • Strategic development of the upskilling program • Identifying the future skills needs of media professionals • Designing tailored learning formats, including deep dives, learning visits, and individual coaching • Assessing the coaching needs of grantee partners and selecting suitable external experts • Joint implementation of Strategy Grants with the Head of Funding & Strategy • Supporting the development of funded media organizations • Taking on coaching responsibilities for funded media organizations as needed • Providing professional guidance based on your own experience in media economics • Managing an Event Production Manager and a growing network of external coaches and consultants • Further developing the community of grantee partners and applicants • Expanding knowledge-sharing and networking opportunities • Creating the conditions for the team to work independently • Testing new formats, incorporating international insights, and developing industry-wide approaches

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of experience in the media industry, in editorial, publishing, or a related media environment • Strong understanding of both the editorial and business aspects of publishing • Experience designing and implementing learning or skills development programs, ideally in a civil society or innovation-focused context • In-depth expertise and a genuine passion for knowledge transfer • Initial or established leadership experience • Ability to develop and manage a small team and external partners • Strategic thinking combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to implementation • Enjoyment of working in a young, agile organization • Excellent written and spoken German and English • French language skills are an advantage • Willingness to travel within Europe, particularly in the DACH region • Alignment with the goals and values of the Media Forward Fund
