📋 Description

• Define the global product vision for the utility domain: set the global product vision and strategy for 1KOMMA5°'s utility business. • Lead and grow your product team and stakeholders: manage and mentor a growing team of product managers. • Standardize and scale core systems and processes: develop and implement global standards for systems and technical setups. • Promote operational excellence in energy markets: oversee market operations processes. • Monitor performance and deliver business impact: define and track KPIs for product performance. • Align internal and external stakeholders: collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners. • Anticipate market developments: stay informed on regulatory, commercial, and technological trends. • Drive commercial success: work with Sales, Marketing, and market leads to position energy products globally.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years' experience in product, commercial, or operational leadership within the energy sector (ideally energy trading/utilities, tariffs, services) across multiple markets. • Proven experience leading product managers or cross-functional teams and managing complex product areas with both commercial and operational/technical dimensions. • Experience building or scaling products in energy trading, tariffs, metering systems/integrations, or flexibility services. • Deep understanding of the energy market business — tariffs, pricing, metering (roles/responsibilities and operations), trading/billing, market communication (market communication processes) — across multiple countries. • Strong familiarity with regulatory frameworks and market operations in the energy sector. • Experience with flexibility services, distributed energy resources (DERs), and digital energy services is a strong advantage. • Technical and operational capability: comfortable working with technical teams on system architecture, data flows, and integrating tools and processes (meters, billing, trading, partner platforms). • Strong operational discipline and the ability to translate operational/process complexity into scalable product models. • Excellent commercial awareness with strong analytical skills: able to define and interpret KPIs, build business cases, prioritize product investments, and measure ROI. • Strategic thinker who also rolls up their sleeves and can work in a fast-changing environment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English and German. • Able to influence and align internal and external stakeholders. • Demonstrated ability to lead people, build strong teams, mentor product managers, and foster cross-functional collaboration. • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and able to operate in a dynamic, high-growth environment. • Passionate about the energy transition, renewable energy, and changing how energy is produced and consumed globally.
