• Develop a profitable and sustainable medical devices business sector within Business Assurance in the US and Canada • Ensure operational efficiency and profitability of the business sector • Manage technical documentation reviews and inquiries for SGS Business Assurance Medical Devices • Conduct Medical Devices Technical file/Documentation reviews with 80% Utilization • Assist in the training/onboarding of new product assessors • Support development of systems, processes, and procedures • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies • Support development of internal best practices for auditing • Coordinate with Key Account Specialists to schedule Technical Documentation reviews • Respond to client inquiries on technical matters regarding SGS-Business Assurance certification/training • Maintain competence and credentials through courses as necessary • Support team to ensure operational KPIs are met • Address client complaints and investigate root causes • Identify key growth initiatives and drive initiatives based on target market sectors • Deliver training and support training material development • Collaborate with Directors to manage resources effectively • Establish a winning culture embracing change and innovation • Maintain understanding of certification services and client expectations • Provide commercial support including input to tender compilation and project coordination • Perform other duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Engineering, Operations or related discipline • 10+ years of relevant experience in Medical Devices (Testing, Inspection, Certification) • 3-5 years of supervisory experience • Advanced level of English required • Any level of proficiency in French preferred • Intermediate level of mathematical skills required • Advanced reasoning skills/abilities • Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook • Knowledge of market dynamics, including demand growth drivers, new technology, competitor actions, and pricing analysis • Knowledge and understanding of current standards and legislation in the Medical Devices industry • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong customer service orientation • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Knowledge and understanding of financial indicators, ability to analyze PNL • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment • Ability to motivate teams and lead through influence • Leadership and coaching skills
