📋 Description

• Own the monthly close process, targeting T+7 • Prepare P&L by service line/project, balance sheet, and cash flow statements • Lead accounting operations, including chart of accounts, billing, AR/AP, cash management, payroll oversight, and fixed assets • Design and implement revenue recognition policies for T&M, fixed-fee, and managed services contracts • Oversee tax filings, payroll obligations, audits, statutory reporting, and internal controls • Manage multi-entity, multi-currency accounting, including consolidations and intercompany transactions • Prepare management reporting packs, KPI reporting, board updates, and investor-ready dashboards • Drive ERP, PSA, and accounting system migrations • Streamline Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay processes • Develop and manage approval matrices, maker-checker controls, role-based access, and SOP documentation • Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, payroll bureaus, and compliance specialists • Build and lead Shuru’s finance function and team

🎯 Requirements

• 8–12 years of progressive finance and accounting experience • Mix of Big 4 or public accounting and in-house roles at IT services or consulting firms • Expertise in US GAAP and IFRS • Experience with project-based accounting • Experience managing multi-currency and multi-entity operations • Must have completed CA (Chartered Accountant) course • Proven experience in revenue recognition (ASC 606/IFRS 15) • Experience setting up scalable accounting processes • Demonstrated success implementing finance systems (ERP, PSA, billing, etc.) • Experience improving operational efficiency • Advanced Excel skills • Strong analytical skills • Exposure to Zoho Books/Finance or similar tools • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment • Comfortable building and leading a high-performing finance team
