📋 Description
• Reviews provider documentation and revises and/or assigns ICD-10-CM codes and CPT/HCPCS codes • Researches and takes appropriate action on any coding/claim edits • Coding focus is contingent on open position and impending certification by the employee
🎯 Requirements
• High School Diploma required • Preferred Associate or Bachelor Degree in Health Information or a Healthcare related discipline • Preferred CCS, CCS-P, CCA, or CPC • Completion of SIH Coding Management approved CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10 coding education program within the previous 12 months • Passage of certification exam within 24 months of hire is required
